Huawei Hg532e Firmware | This Is Why You Shouldn't Buy The Huawei Hg532e Huawei's flagship phone model, the Huawei Hg532e, is not that great of a choice. While the hardware itself isn't bad (having four cameras and a 6GB RAM), there are too many flaws in the software to make this a good buy. Furthermore, the company feels as if everyone needs to pay for data back-ups and their "security app" even though it provides no security whatsoever. Please read this article to find out more about the reasoning behind these statements. Advantages: this phone has a lot of RAM and a decent amount of storage space, a lot of cameras, a decent processor, and decent battery life. Disadvantages: too many flaws in the software to list here. This phone is also very similar to the original Huawei Hg532e which was released around ten months ago, only that the newer model has more RAM and storage space. Good Camera Quality? NO! This camera app is very bad because it provides no manual option for changing lenses or exposure settings whatsoever. It only gives you four choices for each of the nine cameras' settings, making it more of an "automatic camera app" than a "manual one". The app also doesn't have a grid or even a simple frame for taking pictures. You are expected to do everything on the screen itself. Even if you want to adjust the exposure, there is no adjustment bar whatsoever; with this camera app, everything is automatic. The Huawei Hg532e is also very hard to use, as it requires several different button presses in order to navigate around (no touch screen). One problem that arises with this phone concerns battery life- this phone has terrible battery life. The battery life is so bad, in fact, that if you are out of the house the whole day and the phone is on for 24 straight hours, then it can still die before you get home. This is unacceptable for any smartphone, but especially for one with a large screen. The phone does have a good processor, though. One of my biggest problems with this phone is how Huawei handles data backups. I will list them here: 1) Every time you want to backup your data on your phone or transfer it to another device (such as a computer), you must pay money every single time. This applies even if you are transferring something from one Huawei device to another. 2) Every time you create a new account on the phone, you must pay money for the privilege to do so. 3) Every device is forced to run their "security app" which provides no security whatsoever. This is basically a Chinese version of McAfee, and it requires you to pay every month in order to keep your device "safe". I would like to know: what makes my device safe if I am paying too much for it and it gets hacked anyway? 4) The software is very outdated; they haven't updated this phone's system since November 2016. This includes the camera app as well as the entire system. cfa1e77820
